Scope of the processing of personal data

In general, the use of this website is possible without the input and processing of personal data. The disclosure of your email address and the postcode is absolutely necessary if you want to contact us via the contact form and to enable allocation of your request to the right contact person. Provision of other data is voluntary. If you do not provide us with the necessary personal data, your request may not be able to be dealt with.

Collection of access data

Provision and display of content via our website technically requires the collection of certain data. The information enables the provision and ongoing improvement of our offer and is stored separately from other personal information on secure systems. We reserve the right to check the stated data later on should there be any suspicion of unlawful use of our offer.

Purposes for processing personal data

Your personal data are processed for the following purposes:

- Dealing with requests resulting from the contact form

- Justification and execution of contractual relationships

- Handling of orders

- Sending of newsletter

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

- Article 6(1)(b): You have concluded an agreement with us or we have to carry out pre-contractual measures.

- Article 6(1)(c): We must comply with a legal obligation.

- Article 6(1)(f): Our legitimate interests override your legitimate interests.

For the purpose of data avoidance and data economy, we process personal data only to the extent and as long as is it necessary for the use of our website, or as prescribed by law.

If the purpose or legal basis for processing ceases and the end of the statutory storage period is reached, the data collected will be erased, or blocked if the retention period still exists. Your personal data shall not be disclosed to third parties without your express consent or a legal basis.

The data collected shall not be used for automated, case-by-case decision-making or profiling, or for scoring.

Your rights as the data subject

At any time, you can receive information free of charge (Article 15 GDPR) about your personal data stored by us, as well as the source, recipient and purpose of data processing. You also have the right to request rectification (Article 16 GDPR), blocking (Article 18 GDPR) or erasure (Article 17 GDPR) of your data. This excludes data that are required to be stored on the basis of statutory provisions or for the purposes of orderly processing of business transactions. Pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to processing of your personal data, unless this is for the purpose of fulfilling an agreement, a legal obligation or to protect vital interests.

You have the right at any time to revoke consent given to the processing of personal data with future effect. Processing that took place before revocation is not affected.

Data are kept in a lock file for control purposes so that a data block can put into effect at any time. If data are not collected from a statutory archiving obligation, we shall erase your data at your request. If the archiving obligation is effective, we shall block your data.

- Your name,

- Your email address,

- Your address.

At the time of sending the message, the following data shall also be stored:

- Date and time the form was submitted

You shall be referred to this privacy policy before your contact request is submitted and must confirm to us receipt of the information by clicking on the check box. Alternatively, contact is possible via the email address provided. In this case, the user’s personal data transmitted with the email will be processed.

In this case, no data will be disclosed to third parties. The data will be used exclusively for processing the contact request. If the processing of your request is complete, the personal data will be deleted from the input screen immediately. The additional personal data collected during the submission process will be deleted after a period of seven days at the latest. Upon your request, we shall delete your personal data immediately. You can subscribe to our newsletter on our website. For this we require your email address. In compliance with the relevant legal provisions, we also need to check whether you are in fact the owner of the email address indicated and would like to receive the newsletter (double opt-in process). That is why we collect information that makes this check possible. The data collected for this purpose are used for the sending and receipt of the newsletter and are not passed on to third parties. No other data will be collected by us besides the information necessary for sending the newsletter. Since the sending and receipt of the newsletter is dependent on your consent, you can revoke this consent to collect and store your data at any time without giving reasons. To do this, use the “unsubscribe” link provided in the newsletter.

Online application

Should you use our online application form, your personal data will be used beyond the scope of this privacy policy. Before you provide the relevant data in our form, you will be referred to our privacy policy specifically for applicants.

Safety

We have taken a number of technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data from being lost, destroyed, manipulated or accessed in an unauthorised manner. All our employees and all persons involved in data processing are obligated to comply with the GDPR, the Federal Data Protection Act (new version) and other data protection laws, and to handle personal data confidentially.

SSL encryption

Our website uses SSL encryption if the transmission of confidential or personal information of our users is involved. This encryption is activated for example during the processing of payment transactions as well as for requests that you submit to us via our website. Please ensure that SSL encryption is activated on your side for the relevant activities. The use of encryption is easy to recognise: The information in your browser line changes from “http://” to “https://”. Data encrypted using SSL cannot be read by third parties. Only transmit your confidential information if SSL encryption is activated and contact us in case of doubt.

Content and services of third party providers

The offer on our website may also include content and services from other providers who supplement our offer. Examples of such offers are maps from Google Maps, YouTube videos or graphic displays of third parties. Accessing these services from third-party sites routinely requires the transmission of your IP address. In doing so, it is possible for these providers to observe and store your user IP address. We try very hard only to include those third-party providers who use IP addresses solely to deliver content. However, we have no influence on which third-party providers store the IP address. This storage can be used for statistical purposes, for example. Should we become aware of storage processes by third-party providers, we will point out this fact to our users immediately. In this context, please also note the special privacy policies for individual third-party providers and suppliers whose service we use on our website.

You can also find them in this privacy policy.

Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These small text files are saved by our server on your PC. They support our website’s display and help you to move around on our website. Cookies collect data about your

- IP address,

- your browser,

- your operating system

- and your Internet connection.

We shall not link this information with personal data nor disclose it to third parties. Under no circumstances will we use cookies to place malware or spyware on your computer. You can also use our website without the use of cookies although in this case some displays and functions of our offer may only work to a limited extent. If you would like to deactivate cookies you can do so via your browser’s special settings. Please use its help function to find out how to make the relevant changes. You can manage online advertising cookies via the following link: www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices for Europe

Adobe Typekit

On our website we use Adobe Typekit to ensure that fonts are displayed consistently. Adobe Typekit is provided by Adobe Systems Incorporated, 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110-2704, USA (Adobe) and is a service that allows access to a font library. When accessing a web page, your browser loads the required web fonts in your browser cache so that texts and font types display correctly. In conjunction with providing the typekit service, Adobe does not use cookies to supply the font types. To provide the typekit service, Adobe can collect font type information that identifies the website itself and the typekit account associated with it.

You can find more information on the data protection information page at Adobe Typekit and in the privacy policy of Adobe.

Google Ads

On our website we use an online advertising programme of Google Inc. with Google Ads. In doing so conversion tracking is also used. With this tool, Google Ads places a cookie on your PC if you come to our website via a Google advertisement. The cookie is no longer valid after 30 days. It is not used for personal tracking. As a user, if you visit our website and the cookie is still functioning, we and Google will be able to identify that you have clicked on the relevant advertisement and were redirected to our web page. In the process another cookie is assigned to each Google Ads customer. Cookies are thus not traceable via the websites of Google Ads customers. Conversion statistics for Google Ads customers are created with the data collected by conversion cookies. We, as the customer, can thereby discover the total number of users who reacted to our advertisement and were then directed to a website that was provided with a conversion tracking tag. During this process we do not receive any information with which you, as the user, could be personally identified. Should you object to the tracking process, you can deactivate the Google conversion tracking cookie via your Internet browser. If necessary, use the help function of your browser for more information. You can find out more about Google’s privacy provisions at www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, “Google”). Use includes the operating mode “Universal Analytics”. It is thereby possible to assign data, meetings and interactions over several devices to a pseudonymous user ID and so analyse the activities of a user across devices.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and make it possible to analyse your use of the website. Information on your use of this website generated by the cookie is transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. In case of activation of the IP anonymisation on this website, Google will first truncate your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to and shortened by a Google server in the USA. The IP address communicated by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not associated with any other data held by Google. On behalf of the website provider Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website and Internet usage to the website provider. We also have a legitimate interest in data processing for these purposes. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Article 15(3) TMG (Teleservices Act) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data sent by us and linked with cookies, user recognition (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data that has reached the end of its retention period are automatically deleted once a month. You can find more detailed information on terms and conditions of use and privacy at www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or policies.google.com.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Opt-out cookies prevent the future collection of your data when visiting this website. To prevent collection by Universal Analytics over different devices, you must opt out on all systems used. If you click here, the opt-out cookie will be placed: Deactivate Google Analytics

Google Maps plugin

We include on our website a plugin for the Internet service Google Maps. The operator of Google Maps is Google Inc., based in the USA, CA 94043, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View. By using Google Maps on our website, information about the use of this website and your IP address are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have no knowledge about the exact content of the data transmitted nor about their use by Google. In this context the company denies the linking of data with information from other Google services and the collection of personal data. However, Google can transmit the information to third parties. If you deactivate Javascript in your browser you will prevent the performance of Google Maps. However, in this case you will also not be able to use any map screen on our website. By using our website you consent to the aforementioned collection and processing of information by Google Inc. You can find more information on the privacy provisions and terms and conditions of use for Google Maps here: www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

Privacy policy for using YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the Google-operated site YouTube. The operator of the website is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit one of our web pages with a YouTube plugin, a connection will be established to YouTube's servers. The YouTube server will be notified about which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you make it possible for YouTube to directly assign your surfing behaviour to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

You can find more information on how user data is dealt with in YouTube’s privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

Changes to these privacy provisions

We update this policy on the protection of your personal data from time to time. You should look at this policy occasionally to remain up-to-date on how we protect your data and continually improve the content of our website. Should we make significant changes to the processing of personal data provided by you we shall inform you of this by means of an explicit and clearly visible notice on the website. By using the website you consent to the conditions of this privacy policy on the protection of personal data.

If you have any questions about these data protection provisions, please contact the aforementioned data protection officer.
