      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

Terugblik op de EIPOS-deskundigendagen Brandveiligheid 2025

De 26e EIPOS-deskundigendagen brandbeveiliging stonden volledig in het teken van innovatie, duurzaamheid en praktijkgerichtheid. Meer dan 1.000 vakmensen kwamen op 17 en 18 november 2025 bijeen op het beursterrein van Dresden, waaronder ook de brandveiligheidsexperts van STÖBICH.

EIPOS-deskundigendagen brandveiligheid 2025: Dit gerenommeerde symposium is een van de belangrijkste branchebijeenkomsten voor brandveiligheidsontwerpers en -deskundigen, medewerkers van bouwvergunninginstanties en de industrie.

Dit jaar lag de focus op duurzame brandbeveiliging: houtbouw en hernieuwbare isolatiematerialen kunnen veilig worden toegepast door middel van geschikte bekledingen en nieuwe blusmethoden. Eerste onderzoek naar leembouwmaterialen toont potentieel, maar er is behoefte aan normalisatie. Bij de omgang met bestaande gebouwen werd de nadruk gelegd op zorgvuldige documentatie en risicogerichte aanpassingen. De totale herziening van de Zwitserse voorschriften met een duidelijke risicogerichte benadering zorgde voor internationale impulsen. Over het geheel genomen toonde het evenement de verschuiving naar meer duurzaamheid, innovatie en interdisciplinaire samenwerking.

Ook bij STÖBICH werd innovatief gedacht: op onze driedimensionale beursstand hebben we preventieve bouwkundige brandbeveiliging in textiele bouwvorm getoond en geïnteresseerde bezoekers geadviseerd over onze veelzijdige oplossingen.
