      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

STÖBICH ondersteunt historische brandweer

STÖBICH ondersteunt historische brandweer

Getuigen van die tijd op wielen: met een donatie aan de “Interessengemeinschaft zur Erhaltung historischer Fahrzeuge e.V.” (belangengemeenschap voor het behoud van historische voertuigen) wil STÖBICH de kostbare reparatie van de draailadder van een brandweerwagen uit de jaren zestig mogelijk maken.

Te zonde voor de schroothoop: dat vonden enkele betrokken brandweerlieden uit Vienenburg, die eind jaren 90 de buiten gebruik gestelde Opel Blitz uit 1957 redden, die de stad eigenlijk wilde slopen. De brandweerwagen “Emma” werd voor een symbolische Duitse mark gekocht en met veel liefde en geduld gerepareerd – het begin van een bijzondere vereniging: “Interessengemeinschaft zur Erhaltung historischer Fahrzeuge e.V.” (kortweg: IGFW). Ongeveer 40 leden komen regelmatig bijeen om de acht historische brandweervoertuigen te onderhouden en te verzorgen. Het doel van de vereniging is om de rode oldtimers rijklaar te houden en natuurlijk ook te gebruiken voor ritten. Tijdens de 14-daagse “diensten” wordt het zwaailicht gerepareerd, worden alle technische onderdelen vakkundig gesmeerd, worden de motoren geïnspecteerd, worden pompen gerepareerd en wordt de draaikrans van de draailadder weer bruikbaar gemaakt.

Over de draailadder gesproken: voor de draailadderwagen DL 30 uit 1964 staat een kostbare reparatie van de draailadder in een gespecialiseerde werkplaats in Kassel op het programma. Hiervoor zamelt de vereniging momenteel donaties in, en STÖBICH sluit zich hier graag bij aan als traditioneel brandbeveiligingsbedrijf uit Goslar en partner van de brandweer van Goslar.
