      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

The information center with space for education, culture and encounters was opened in 2011 and designed by the renowned French architecture firm Marc Barani. Loopbaan- en studiebeurs #TschüssSchule 2022

Half mei hebben we met ongeveer 70 andere exposanten deelgenomen aan de carrière- en studiebeurs #TschüssSchule in de BBS Baßgeige in Goslar om scholieren te interesseren voor de opleidingsmogelijkheden bij STÖBICH.

Met in totaal 500 bezoekers aan de beurs werd onze stand in de vakschool goed bezocht. Hier hadden wij vele informatieve gesprekken met toekomstige schoolverlaters en hun familieleden. Met succes: we hebben de eerste aanvragen ter plaatse al aanvaard.

Tegelijkertijd konden de mensen een kijkje nemen achter de schermen van de STÖBICH-wereld en kennismaken met enkele brandbeveiligingssystemen in onze showroom in het centrale hoofdkantoor van de onderneming om de hoek. Onze stagiairs en hun instructeurs waren beschikbaar om vragen van alle belangstellenden te beantwoorden, assistentie te verlenen bij praktijkactiviteiten en informatie te verstrekken over de individuele leerplaatsen (m/v/d).

Via een live-constructie met het programma Uitvinder konden de jongeren zich in het dagelijkse werkleven van een technisch productontwerper verplaatsen en naar believen meehelpen construeren. De assemblage van een tentakelrobot en een zaklamp was interessant voor toekomstige bouwmechanici of mechatronica-ingenieurs. Voor toekomstige industriële klerken was er een kleine quiz en spannende details over een mogelijk verblijf in het buitenland (aanvullende kwalificatie Europees klerk). Een rondleiding door verschillende afdelingen en de opleidingswerkplaats, alsmede de vuurproef rondden de dag af. "De voorbereidingen waren de moeite waard, en we kijken uit naar verdere activiteiten," zei Timon Mitzscherlich (technisch productontwerper 2e jaars leerling).
