      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

They are safety-relevant, because without their function or in the event of a malfunction, the entire investment of a fire protection partition would be useless. Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

STÖBICH stagiair loopt stage in het buitenland in Spanje

STÖBICH stagiair loopt stage in het buitenland in Spanje

Als stagiair in een internationaal bedrijf als STÖBICH kom je veel uit. Net als Mats-Henri Ackermann, die in het najaar van 2021 drie weken stage liep bij STÖBICH Ibérica in Madrid.

Na verschillende uitstel wegens Corona mocht hij toch beginnen: Als onderdeel van zijn opleiding tot industrieel klerk met een aanvullende kwalificatie als Europees klerk verbleef Mats-Henri Ackermann drie weken op het kantoor van STÖBICH Ibérica in Madrid. Daar ondersteunde hij vooral het opstellen van offertes. Het was een voordeel dat Mats vanuit de Duitse vestiging in Goslar al voor de Spaanse vestiging had gewerkt. Hij heeft ter plaatse kennis kunnen maken met de bijzondere kenmerken van de Spaanse markt met zijn wettelijke bepalingen en eisen en kwam ook in contact met andere te verzorgen landen, zoals Portugal.

In zijn vrije tijd verkende Mats de Spaanse hoofdstad en omgeving met tal van bezienswaardigheden en bracht hij zelfs een weekend door in Barcelona. Zijn eindconclusie: “Ik werd hartelijk ontvangen in het team en had interessante taken. Mijn aanbeveling voor alle STÖBICH-stagiairs: grijp de kans om stage te lopen in het buitenland, dat zal je echt helpen!”

Overigens: Mats heeft zojuist zijn opleiding succesvol. Gefeliciteerd! Het blijft bij ons tot eind juli - daarna kunnen we verder studeren.
