      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

      Control systems are necessary for all automatic fire protection systems! They are safety-relevant, because without their function or in the event of a malfunction, the entire investment of a fire protection partition would be useless. Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

Waarom we wereldwijd marktleider zijn

STÖBICH Brandschutz is sinds 2010 opgenomen in de encyclopedie van Duitse wereldmarktleiders. Wat betekent dit concreet?

Onze meer dan 40-jarige bedrijfshistorie is gebaseerd op de vele productideeën en ontwikkelingen van onze oprichter Dr. Jochen Stöbich, bijv. de eerste brandwerende sluiting voor continu transporttechniek of de eerste brandwerende oplossingen voor textiel. Van een eenmanszaak tot een internationaal actieve groep bedrijven met een officiële notering als wereldmarktleider - dat is het succesverhaal van STÖBICH.
De achtergrond van de ranking wordt hier in meer detail uitgelegd.

De organisatie
Die Deutsche Wirtschaft (DDW) is het open informatienetwerk van Duitse directeuren, bedrijfseigenaren en thought leaders. De focus ligt op de ongeveer 250.000 aandeelhouders en directeuren van de 35.000 grootste bedrijven in Duitsland (omzet van ongeveer 5 miljoen euro of meer). Samen met Florian Langenscheidt en Bernd Venohr publiceert DDW de encyclopedie van Duitse wereldmarktleiders. Hierin staan wereldsterren zoals Volkswagen, maar ook verborgen kampioenen zoals STÖBICH.

De ranglijst
Met de wetenschappelijke ondersteuning van professor Dr. Bernd Venohr worden de wereldmarktleiders - momenteel 1.495 - bepaald aan de hand van strenge criteria in een diepgaande analyse. Dankzij onze sterke exportprestaties, bedrijfsmanagement "made in Germany" en wereldwijde nichedominantie is STÖBICH opgenomen in het lexicon van Duitse wereldmarktleiders. STÖBICH staat momenteel op de 1.122e plaats, een positie die we niet hebben gekocht, maar juist hebben verdiend als innovatief middelgroot bedrijf. En als je bedenkt dat we een verborgen kampioen zijn, mogen we des te trotser zijn op onze titel.

Wat is een verborgen kampioen?
Onbekend en toch wereldwijd succesvol - zo kun je de term "verborgen kampioen" omschrijven. Verborgen kampioenen worden niet herkend door het grote publiek omdat ze meestal alleen in een nichemarkt te vinden zijn. In ons geval is dat structurele brandbeveiliging: onze systemen worden overal ter wereld geïnstalleerd, of het nu in de Eiffeltoren in Parijs is of in het Apple Park in Silicon Valley. Wat bijna niemand zich realiseert, is dat van de ongeveer 3.000 verborgen kampioenen wereldwijd bijna de helft in Duitsland is gevestigd.
