      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

      Control systems are necessary for all automatic fire protection systems! They are safety-relevant, because without their function or in the event of a malfunction, the entire investment of a fire protection partition would be useless. Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

FeuerTrutz 2020 Digitaal

Op 30 september en 01 oktober 2020 nam STÖBICH als exposant deel aan de FeuerTrutz-beurs, die voor het eerst in digitale vorm plaatsvond.           

Op nieuwe paden

Op het hiervoor gebruikte netwerkplatform met als thema "Preventieve brandbeveiliging op een andere manier" konden de vakbeurs bezoekers kennismaken met zowel beproefde als nieuwe benaderingen van preventieve brandbeveiliging, en dit keer konden ze op een iets andere manier in contact komen met de exposanten.

Op de tweede dag van de beurs gaf onze spreker Rainer Barth een spannende presentatie over rookbarrières en rookbeveiligingssluitingen in het kader van hun geharmoniseerde norm.

Een bijzondere uitdaging was de eerste STÖBICH-brandtest die online werd uitgezonden. In de videostream van een half uur heeft STÖBICH live uitgezonden vanuit de showroom in Goslar. De presentator van de livestream, Dominik Rudolf, informeerde de kijkers over geselecteerde oplossingen en toonde hun mogelijke toepassingen. Terwijl we door onze rookkast liepen, kon het publiek de gebeurtenissen bijna van dichtbij meemaken op hun computer. Daarna gingen ze naar de openluchtruimte waar de brandcontainer al op volle toeren draaide. Hier werd onze warmte-isolerende brandwerende stof gedemonstreerd. Ook al waren de toeschouwers niet ter plaatse, je kon live zien hoe de heer Rudolf zijn hand veilig op het oppervlak van het textiel kon leggen, ondanks de meer dan 600 graden die in de brandcontainer heersten.

De première van de beurs, die dit jaar voor het eerst digitaal plaatsvindt, was een succes. Volgens de organisator kwamen meer dan 1500 vakbezoekers naar het digitale platform om kennis te maken met de nieuwste oplossingen en benaderingen van de circa 70 exposanten. Onze digitaal vertegenwoordigde standbemanning was op beide beursdagen permanent betrokken bij discussies en chats met de vakbezoekers. Ondanks enkele technische problemen waren de meeste bezoekers zeer tevreden. Volgens de organisatoren vindt FeuerTrutz volgend jaar weer plaats in Neurenberg in zijn gebruikelijke vorm. De digitale presentatie zou toch een vast onderdeel van de toekomstige beurs kunnen worden. We kijken nu al uit naar de FeuerTrutz 2021!
