      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

Brand in busremise van ÜSTRA in Hannover: brandwerende gordijnen met succes in gebruik

Acht volledig uitgebrande bussen (waaronder vijf nieuwe elektrische bussen), een vernielde oplaadinfrastructuur voor e-mobiliteit en een kapot haldak: 200 hulpverleners van de Hannoverse brandweer bestreden in het eerste weekend van juni drie uur lang de vlammen in het ÜSTRA-depot Mittelfeld. Helpende handen van het ÜSTRA-personeel evacueerden intussen 19 bussen.

Geluk bij een ongeluk dat de vervoersautoriteit van Hannover sinds 2019 vertrouwt op textielbrandbeveiligingsoplossingen van STÖBICH: Dankzij de 14 geïnstalleerde Fibershield®-P brandwerende gordijnen, waaronder systemen van meer dan 10 x 4 m, kon het vuur zich niet naar andere gebieden verspreiden. De rook werd ook effectief ingedamd. Als gevolg daarvan kon, naast de genoemde voertuigen, ook de werkplaats worden gered.

Hoewel de precieze oorzaak van de brand nog onduidelijk is, waren alle betrokkenen het erover eens: u kunt vertrouwen op brandbeveiligingsoplossingen van STÖBICH; verdere maatregelen van ons bedrijf zijn al in de planningsfase.
