      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

They are safety-relevant, because without their function or in the event of a malfunction, the entire investment of a fire protection partition would be useless. Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

PROTEC-24 werd opgericht in 1993. In drie decennia is de dienstverlening enorm veranderd - maar de hoge kwaliteitsnormen zijn hetzelfde gebleven.

Als bedrijf van de latere STÖBICH-groep begon PROTEC-24 ook op de centrale locatie in Goslar. Taucha en Bopfingen bestreken de gebieden Oost en Zuid - in het begin werkte in elke vestiging precies één medewerker. In het begin concentreerde de dienst zich uitsluitend op ➥afsluitingen van transportsystemen. Geleidelijk aan werden andere brand- en brandwerende elementen toegevoegd, die nu in nieuwere generaties verkrijgbaar zijn: bijv. brandwerende deuren, brandwerende sectionaaldeuren en schuifdeuren alsmede vastzetsystemen, brandwerende kleppen en nog veel meer. Sinds 1997 ➥textiele rook- en brandwerende sluitingen worden onderhouden en gerepareerd.

Parallel aan de service- en productportfolio ontwikkelden ook de methoden en hulpmiddelen zich verder: EDP en internet vervingen fax en handgeschreven documentatie; bij de montage en verkoop maakten laptops en digitale camera's het werk gemakkelijker. In 1998 had elk nieuw servicevoertuig een navigatiesysteem - tegenwoordig vanzelfsprekend, maar toen een kleine technische sensatie. En wat 30 jaar geleden nog science fiction was, is sinds enkele jaren een integraal onderdeel van het PROTEC 24-portfolio: de ➥ onderhoudsondersteuning via drones.
