      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

Vélos électriques & protection incendie : les batteries sont-elles sûres ?

Les vélos électriques et les pedelecs prennent de l'ampleur, que ce soit pour les loisirs ou comme vélos de service. Mais qu'en est-il de la sécurité de leur "pièce maîtresse", l'accumulateur lithium-ion ? Quel est le risque d'incendie lié aux accumulateurs d'énergie et quelles sont les solutions de protection contre l'incendie ?

Les accumulateurs lithium-ion se sont imposés comme accumulateurs d'énergie dans la mobilité électrique : ils marquent des points avec une densité énergétique élevée pour un poids relativement faible, un temps de charge court et une longue durée de vie. En principe, elles sont sûres, mais dans certaines circonstances, les batteries peuvent se détériorer, c'est-à-dire exploser. Des réactions violentes se produisent alors sous la forme d'incendies, au cours desquels des gaz nocifs toxiques et corrosifs dangereux sont émis. La cause d'un tel incendie est souvent une charge incorrecte, par exemple une décharge profonde ou une surcharge.
