      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

De vakbezoekers waren alweer enthousiast! Want ook in 2016 was Stöbich op het "Actieterrein brandbeveiliging" met de mobiele brandcontainer vertegenwoordigd. Evenals in de voorafgaande jaren was de interesse van de beursbezoekers groot, om textiele brandbeveiliging eens live en van dichtbij te beleven. De live-demonstratie vond tweemaal dagelijks telkens om 12:00 uur en 15:00 uur op het buitenterrein van de beurs plaats.

Een textiel, dat een temperatuur van meer dan 1000 °C weerstaat en daarbij gedurende meerdere uren onbeschadigd blijft? Een ca.. 1 mm dik weefsel, dat de warmtestraling - vereenvoudigd gezegd - voor ongeveer 90% tegenhoudt? Een bodemafsluitend rookscherm met doorgangsmogelijkheid?

De vervaardiging van deze high-tech-brandwerende weefsels vereist allereerst veel ontwikkelingsinspanning zowel als kostbare weef-, coating- en lamineertechnieken. Als resultaat van de moderne productieprocessen ontstaan er zeer hoog belastbare vlakcomposieten van weefsels en metaal- of kunststoffolies. Deze meerlagige textielen bieden brandweerstand tot een classificatie E 240 en daarenboven ook begrenzing van de stralingspassage (EW-classificatie) tot 120 minuten.
