      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

Vertrekpier A-West, Frankfurt

De nieuwe landingsbaan met een lengte van 2.800 meter loopt parallel aan de bestaande start- en landingsbanen. De centrale afstand tot de Nordbahn bedraagt ca. 1.400 m. Het is hierdoor mogelijk - in tegenstelling tot het bestaande parallelbaansysteem met zijn kleinere afstanden - onafhankelijke parallel aan te vliegen op de nieuwe landingsbaan Nordwest en op de bestaande Südbahn verder te gaan. Naast de nieuw gebouwde landingsbaan is er op een afstand van 200 meter een parallelle taxibaan. Zowel de landingsbaan, alsook de parallelle taxibaan, worden door zes snelle taxibanen en elk een normale taxibaan aan het oostelijke en westelijke einde van de landingsbaan met elkaar verbonden. Twee taxibanen zorgen over het ICE-traject, de snelweg A3 en de Airport-Ring heen voor de aansluiting aan de bestaande luchthavenplatforms van het vliegveld. Deze beide taxibanen bestaan uit vijf afzonderlijke bruggen: De taxibruggen Ost1 en West1 zijn hierbij de grootste en meest verfijnde. Deze beide bruggen worden door de vliegtuigen gebruikt voor het kruisen van de snelweg A3 en het ICE-traject. Verder zijn er drie bruggen, namelijk West 2, Ost 2 en Ost 3. De bruggen West 2 en Ost 2 gaan over de Airportring, maar de brug Ost 3 bevindt zich op het bestaande luchthavenareaal. In het verlengde van de taxibaan is de taxibrug West 1 meer dan 90 meter lang en tot 117 meter breed. De taxibrug Ost 1, is – eveneens het verlengde van de taxibaan – meer dan 200 meter lang en tot 220 meter breed. De Okrifteler Straße loopt onder de landingsbaan Nordwest door de en verbindt de gemeenten Walldorf en Kelsterbach. De tunnel is bijna 577 meter lang en 18 meter breed. Zo'n 1,6 kilometer van de Okrifteler Straße werd opnieuw aangelegd– inclusief fiets- en voetpaden. Op de nieuwe landingsbaan en op de bestaande banen zijn vluchten onder alle weersomstandigheden mogelijk, zodat aanvliegen volgens de ILS categorie IIIb mogelijk is.
