      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

STÖBICH at the REWIMET Symposium on Resource Management

Two days full of exciting ideas, international perspectives, and inspiring discussions are now behind us: On August 13 and 14, 2025, everything in Clausthal-Zellerfeld revolved around the future of circular resource management. Our topic: reliable safety solutions for the potential hazards of LI batteries.

We at STÖBICH Brandschutz and STÖBICH technology were right in the thick of things – with a presentation and as an exhibitor at the REWIMET Symposium. We were particularly pleased about the great interest in our solutions for ➥ battery safety and ➥ early fire detection. The information about our battery test center in Goslar was also received with great interest. A real highlight was our presentation on August 14 entitled “Risks posed by improperly disposed lithium-ion batteries: Fire protection in recycling plants.” The numerous guests were not only interested, but also engaged in lively discussions, once again highlighting the great relevance and topicality of the topic—especially in the context of recycling and safety.

We are taking away many valuable impressions and would like to thank everyone who visited us, listened to us, and discussed with us. The feedback encourages us to focus even more strongly on battery safety and early fire detection.
