  Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

  Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

  A smoke curtain is part of unit keeping areas free from smoke and may include building parts like natural smoke and heat venting systems and automatic smoke and heat venting systems. Smoke curtains restrict the movement of fire gases inside a building in case of fire.

Fire protection is still underestimated by many people! Actually, it's always the other people who get burnt down.
The reality is different: There are still well over 200 major incidents in German companies every year. Even though almost all companies are insured against them, most of the affected German companies go insolvent as a result of such events immediately or in the course of the next year!

Effective and prudent preventive fire protection, taking into account technical, structural, plant and organisational measures, is therefore essential. Authorities, fire brigades and insurance companies are also rightly increasingly demanding the employment of at least one fire protection officer. Is your company sufficiently protected against fire? How does your company respond to the standard fire hazards of electrical work, hot work, work with hazardous substances, arson? Is there a possible explosive atmosphere? Have ALL ignition sources really been identified and avoided as far as possible?

The measures for implementing fire protection are technically demanding, the legal requirements and those of the insurance companies are very comprehensive. In the two-day conference, the measures of preventive fire protection will be explained from various points of view and perspectives and comprehensive assistance will be provided. The participants will get answers to their questions from their daily work.
