Stöbich Entrepreneurship Promotion Prize 2025

This year's award for outstanding scientific work in entrepreneurship went to Dr. Mirjam Nicole Streeb, who investigated the role and impact of passion in the context of entrepreneurship.

How does passion influence the thinking and actions of founders? How important is it for the success or failure of entrepreneurial activities? Dr. Mirjam Nicole Streeb explored these and other questions in her dissertation. Her research shows that passion is much more than an emotion—it is an attitude, a driving force, and often the decisive difference between an idea and a successful venture.

Dr. Mirjam Nicole Streeb was awarded the Stöbich Entrepreneurship Promotion Prize 2025 for this significant contribution to research in the field of entrepreneurship. At the end of October, numerous representatives from science, business, and politics gathered in the Senate Hall of the Technical University of Braunschweig to honor Dr. Streeb in a festive ceremony. Speakers included Prof. Dr. Reza Asghari, holder of the Chair of Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Braunschweig and Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, as well as head of the Entrepreneurship Hub at both universities, Prof. Dr. Arno Kwade, head of the Institute for Particle Technology (iPAT) at the Technical University of Braunschweig and vice president for transfer and innovation, and Alexander Dolipski, spokesperson for the management of the STÖBICH Group.

After the official part of the award ceremony, the participants used the evening to exchange ideas about start-up support, innovation culture, and entrepreneurial conditions in Germany.
