Raimund Theater | Vienna, Austria

Vienna's first musical stage shines in new splendor: founded back in 1893, the historic theater of Vereinigte Bühnen Wien has been modernized and thoroughly renovated since July 2019. In September 2021, the venue celebrated its reopening with a grand musical gala.

Included and yet virtually invisible: seven heat-insulating Fibershield®-I fire curtains. In the event of a fire, they provide effective protection against fire and smoke, but otherwise remain discreetly behind the scenes or in narrow housings concealed in walls and ceilings.

The innovative fire protection systems were installed almost invisibly at the stairways and checkrooms. Thanks to the heat-insulating properties of the unrollable curtain fabric, Fibershield®-I eliminates the need for sprinklers or so-called fire load-free zones. These would only disturb the noble interior of red carpets and ornate decorations. After all, who wants to have to think about fire protection during an atmospheric visit to the theater?
