The Nationaltheater Mannheim (NTM) is one of the oldest municipal theaters in the world. Friedrich Schiller's drama "The Robbers" was premiered here in 1782 in the presence of the poet. From 1957, traditional plays were given their stage in the new building on Goetheplatz - alongside modern productions, opera, dance and the Young National Theatre, which is still a perennial favorite today.
But even an architecturally unique cultural monument gets on in years, and many requirements for public assembly and cultural venues have changed, such as in preventive structural fire protection. And this is where we come in: although the extensive renovation work is expected to continue until the 2028/29 season, modern fire protection is already guaranteed with STÖBICH: our Supercoil smoke curtain will protect people and equipment in the stage area and will only appear in the smart STÖBICH way in the event of a fire: by unrolling fully automatically from the discreetly integrated housing. Innovative fire protection in sophisticated architecture - the role of a lifetime!
